Wayne J. DiBartola Jr, DMD
“My experience throughout 30 years in Bridgeville and South Fayette has provided interactions with a diverse group of patients and business owners. The time I have dedicated to my patients, my skill, and continuing education over the years has enabled me to provide quality care for my patients.”
Dr. DiBartola is a caring, compassionate dentist who provides the highest quality dental care. He interacts with each patient that walks through the door and gives them 100% of his attention. Dr. DiBartola is a very conscientious dentist making comfort and quality dentistry his top priority.
I can still remember telling one of my mentors how excited I was to finally finish my formal education and begin my work as a dentist. He explained that my education had only just begun, and boy was he right. Hundreds of post dental school classes later and I continue to stay committed and invested in educating myself on the most up-to-date knowledge. Below are just a few of the courses I have taken so that at DiBartola Dental you will have access to top of the line equipment and cutting edge procedures.
- Environmental Engineering – University of Pittsburgh 1981
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) – University of Pittsburgh 1985
- Anesthesia Restricted Environment 1990
- Non-surgical Gum Therapy 1995
- Advanced Oral Cancer Screening 2001
- Non-surgical Laser Gum Therapy 2002
- Orthodontics and Invisible Braces 2005
- Oral Sedation Techniques 2005
- Moderate IV Sedation 2006
- Michigan International Implant Institute 2015
- Las Vegas International Advanced Root Canal Techniques 2007
- Lumineers and Advanced Cosmetics 2016
Through my involvement with various community services such as the Rotary Club and Paul Harris Fellowship School of Dentistry, coaching Peters Township football and softball, and the mentoring program for South Fayette Schools, I have strengthened my compassion for the community. My participation in these services has also helped me build strong relationships within the community.
My experience throughout 30 years in Bridgeville and South Fayette has provided interactions with a diverse group of patients and business owners. The time I have dedicated to my patients, my skill, and continuing education over the years has enabled me to provide quality care for my patients.
I value staying active in my profession as it allows me to master procedures and skills as dentistry continues to develop. I enthusiastically participate in continuing education to provide the most up to date procedures at DiBartola Dental.
I enjoy spending time with my family and 3 children. I have taken an interest in cooking and gardening. As a former University of Pittsburgh football player, I enjoy watching football and attending a variety of sporting events.
Tyler M. Porco, DMD – Associate Dentist
“Being stressed over the fear of dental treatment shouldn’t play a factor in delaying the good health of your teeth. Here at DiBartola dental, we have options for the most up-to-date procedures and with sedation dental care is simple, easy, and pain free.”
Dr. Porco has joined DiBartola Dental as an associate dentist and for the convenience of our patients will soon be offering evening and weekend appointments, as well as standard hours.
The main beneficiary of my well-rounded education is undoubtedly my patients. When a patient comes here in need, a diverse knowledge of not only dentistry, but the basic sciences as well, allows me to provide more comprehensive care. I was fortunate to receive outstanding education in both areas, learning the sciences during my undergraduate years at Johns Hopkins University and learning dentistry at the Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry. With knowledge in areas such as restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery, I am able to provide prompt, definitive care to a greater number of patients.
Participating in community service is essential for overall growth as a health professional. Practicing dentistry can sometimes lead to dentists seeing only the teeth and not the person behind those teeth. I feel that community service gives me the opportunity to connect with people and provide them with the dental care they deserve. Seeing patients as more than just a set of teeth is essential to providing the highest possible level of care.
Gaining experience is a key factor in developing as a dentist. Books can teach quite a bit, but the only way to perfect your craft is to perform procedures repeatedly until you master them. The large amount of work I have been able to perform in such a short time at DiBartola Dental has really allowed me to improve my abilities as a dentist which will in turn help me to better serve my patients.
In dentistry, more than many other professions, staying active in the profession is very important. Dentistry requires constant work in order to remain current with technology and techniques to best serve my patients. It is my duty to be up to date on how to best provide treatment.
