Sedation Dentistry

If fear has kept you from completing necessary dental work, Dr. Wayne DiBartola has good news. Dr. DiBartola is certified to administer sedation dentistry, allowing you to complete all your dental work with no anxiety or discomfort. Dr. DiBartola will take the time to answer all your questions and discuss your sedation dentistry options, which include the following:

Nitrous Oxide

Sedation with nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, decreases anxiety and promotes relaxation while you remain conscious. When nitrous oxide is administered prior to your dental procedure, it produces a relaxation effect. Safe, effective, and non-invasive, nitrous oxide is the sedation method of choice for anxious or fearful patients.

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation involves the use of an anti-anxiety medication prior to your dental appointment. For adults, this medication is in the form of a pill, and for children, it is in liquid form.

IV Sedation

During IV sedation, you will be in a tranquil state with no awareness of the sights, sounds or smells related to your procedure. When you awaken, you will have a healthy new smile but little memory of the actual implant dentistry or gum disease treatment.
